HealthMedic Support and GreenVest Environmental Initiative Advocate for Climate Action in Benue State

In a significant move to promote environmental sustainability and climate action in Benue State, HealthMedic Support Initiatives, represented by its Executive Director, Faithfulness Agbo, and GreenVest Environmental Initiative, led by Mr. Jimengi Asan, paid an advocacy visit to Dr. Aondofa Daniel Mailumo, the Director General of the Benue State Council on Climate Change, Office of the Executive Governor, in Makurdi.

The purpose of the visit was to introduce a collaborative project between the two organizations, aimed at driving sustainable impact and addressing pressing environmental challenges in the region. The upcoming initiative seeks to align with global climate goals while tailoring solutions to the specific environmental needs of communities in Benue State.

During the meeting, Dr. Mailumo expressed his admiration for the proposed initiative and commended both organizations for their proactive approach to climate advocacy and environmental stewardship. He welcomed the partnership and pledged the collaboration and support of the Benue State Council on Climate Change, noting that the project aligns with the state’s strategic priorities in tackling climate change and enhancing environmental resilience.

“This initiative is a welcome development,” Dr. Mailumo stated. “We are eager to work closely with committed stakeholders like HealthMedic Support and GreenVest to build a greener, more sustainable Benue.”

The visit underscores the importance of multi-sectoral collaboration in achieving long-term environmental goals and reaffirms the role of civil society organizations in driving climate solutions at the grassroots and policy levels.

As the partnership unfolds, HealthMedic Support Initiatives and GreenVest Environmental Initiative remain committed to delivering a project that not only promotes environmental awareness but also fosters community participation and resilience in the face of climate change.
