Day 1 of HMSI Surgical Intervention Outreach

Day 1 of the surgical outreach began with the arrival of patients who had been scheduled for various procedures. Upon arrival, they were duly registered and had their attendance taken, ensuring proper documentation and organization for the day’s activities.

The patients were then comfortably settled into the facility, creating a calm and supportive environment ahead of their procedures. As part of the pre-surgical process, a psychologist engaged them in a session focused on psychological preparation. This session helped to ease anxiety, address fears, and mentally prepare the patients for surgery.

The combination of proper coordination and emotional support set a positive tone for the outreach, reinforcing our commitment to holistic care that attends not only to physical health but also to the mental well-being of every patient.
