HealthMedic Support Initiative was honored to participate in the official flag-off of the 2025 Round 1 Optimized Maternal, Newborn, and Child Health Week (OMNCHW), held at PHC Yakyo, Makurdi, Benue State.
The event convened prominent stakeholders and development partners in the health sector, including:
• The Executive Secretary of the Benue State Primary Health Care Board
• Helen Keller International – Lead Implementing Partner
• World Health Organization (WHO)
• United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF)
• Red Cross
This high-impact initiative focused on providing essential health interventions to improve the well-being of women and children. As part of the activities, Vitamin A supplementation and the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine were administered to eligible children and adolescents—crucial interventions in strengthening immunity and preventing cervical cancer.
